LIVINGS AND THOUGHTS OF A CAT (Four)

As a cat I do not understand lot of things that humans do or think. Living with two humans sometimes it is even more difficult as I can´t think like them. Of course I am refering to cuca and emiliano, my own herd now.

I say that because I do not belong to any body, even I do not feel any love for another female cat, I only like cuca and emiliano because they belong to my own herd, as I have said above already, beside emiliano gives me my food and water, but love another cat?. That is absolutely different, I do not love any of my own group.

I tell this to you, people, because it seems that cuca and emiliano has been together for the last fourty two years. They are talking each other about this matter, a quite difficult subject  for a cat like me.

Forty two years?. I can not conceive such a thing, such a long time

living together? Incredible for alll means. It is evem too much more time than the age of an old cat. It is nearly three times the life of a healthy cat like me. It is too much for the body or the mind of gatufo, yes it is such an odd thing that I could not thing about it.

Even more incredible it is the feeling of being happy after so much time together, and it must be so as they are telling silly things to each other the full morning.

Some silly things like "Yes I do" that I can not understand despite I could speak and write some English phrases and words.

For your good information it happened that fourty two years ago, here in Madrid, cuca and emiliano got married. Hummm what is that?. You may know what is it, but I don´t.

They are saying that it was a day like this one, clouded and windy and their family were together with them. Their family? Again, what is that?. Their herd? me? I could not remember as I was not alive, so it is quite inconceivable  to me just what they are remembering all this morning. 
Yes, I am a little tired about this subject...married? fourty two years together?, what a stupid supposition for today.

May be cuca and emiliano are a little mad?, I do think they are just a little after all.

Nevertheless as gatufo is a nice cat I could forgive you both and I wan to shout aloud a big miauuu meaning congratulations cuca and emiliano, it is absolutely weird, incomprehensible to me being a single sincere cat, but despite all of this I want to wish you a nices life together, with me, and give also to you all my own good desires for the herd in the future, a long life and plenty of food and water for you and for me, also lot of games with poor gatufo that could not understand anything about this day.

Be alert friends, I have lot of subjects to think about and I would tell you once these odd days could pass as soon as possible.

It seems to me that time it is too hard for humans but even for cats, dogs, horses and other animal as there is not enough money to mantain them.

What are we going to do?. I do not know.

My best and my solidarity to everyone of you friends that are outside home going through bad difficult time everywhere round the world.

MAGIC OR REAL CHAINS AFTER ALL (Part two)

NOTHING SO BEAUTY LIKE NATURE AND CHILDS

Magic of today should be chains for tomorrow?.

I ask myself frequently and somehow I do really think so.

Why it could be so?. May be because what it was like magic some years ago for me or for old humans (older people like me now who have known a different way of living without so many devices) it is going to be the natural common life for millions of persons without any king of magic. It is the reality for all of them, without any surprises at all as it has been for me before.

Is it so?...A good question to think about.

Well I think it is, and there are several examples about this my absolute private opinion.

A proof could be to take off the smart phone out from the hands of children or a young boy or girl of sixteen, or thirty …., or even from nearly out of mine or a business man/woman hands. Doing that immediately this person would be lost, without knowing what to do or how to work but it could be applied to a Tablet, the Mp3 or the computer.

Is it any body willing to think a world without television or radio?

What about without electricity? Only for a month?

Without a single car or computer?.

Life is going to be inconceivable without a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop at hands or whichever kind of electronic device since a hundred years to now.

Little or big electronic machines with millions of small pieces of silica it is so common now that there is nothing that could be working  without some microchips inside all the new supplies.

Our houses are full of little or big devices with millions of chips, silica sand inside them that make an easier way of living, or at least we do think so.

Sooner than later the big cities of our world could be similar to the big sea beaches with just a hundred thousand millions of silica inside the houses or nearly everyplace of the next future world that we now could imagine.

It is a fact than when magic turns to the usual common way of living the magical surprise is absolutely over and everything starts to depend of technology development.

Who is now surprised about new computers?, a new tablet or smart phone?. or every kind of new devise in an hospital, office or home?.

Me or people of my own age only, but not young so accustomed to see now and then the last supplies or electronics little machines.

Surprises are finished and we await new marvelous smart phones, mp3 gadget or whichever kind of toy that we do not know how much work or play could be done with them without not too much astonishment.

Frequently we need the smart phone every place at home, in the bath room, in the living room, in the bed room but even outside, at the park, at the friend’s house  (just a so not polite attitude by our side), at the theatre, at the table, every place without any kind of good behavior from our part. It´s a crazy way of being slaves of development device as it is.

Where is our politeness? Where is our freedom? .  So many questions about what is a nice good life enriched by the new magical things or slavery form of dependency to the new informatics devices.

To me it is clear; informatics science affects our lives but sometime in the wrong way of doing addicts to it instead of giving us more freedom.

Yes, I am an addict too.

It is incredible that me after growing up without nearly anything, I had not a TV apparatus at home, even not a dial phone being a child, not a type machine, not a pickup, not washing machine or frigorific to do the house chores. In fact nothing of the modern things a house has now that makes our life easier, but me having these memories I have now all kind of informatics new devices or toys that makes my life a little more amusing, yes, all kind of new informatics toys that make me astonished about this kind of progress but frequently it makes something to think about future life.

JUST A QUESTION

POLITICAL CANDIDATES

Why is so important personal life of candidates once they try to be designated in USA Congress, Senate or even to be President?.

Not only to be a politician but just to be elected as attorney, judge or which ever other public charge or just being designed to be a big company´s general director or other similar charges.

It is a good question to think about, but this subject is considerate only in Anglo-Saxon countries like USA or U.K., but also some other countries that were ruled by the English culture.

Why is so important having in mind that the real question is not about family, sexual behaviour, or just to be or not married, divorced and so forth.

The right question could be capacity, honesty, good administration, loyalty, health and now to be a real good manager with a brilliant mind.

In Europe it does not matter if the candidates to be elected president, congressman/woman, mayor or senator have been divorced once or twice, even if they have an active sexual life or not.

Europeans does not care about these subjects, they cared about otherideas like, to be at the right or at the  left, freedom, honesty, good or bad administration and so forth, but sexuality?.

No, I do not think so.

What usually happens in EE.UU. when they are in the election´s years it is absolutely incredible for us, many of the candidates have been obliged to dismiss when something of his/her private life has appeared.

How many divorced presidents have been chosen in EE.UU.?, well I think that only one Ronald Reagan, but he divorced from his first wife several years before being designated. Not another man was elected along the history of this country, not any woman either what is really peculiar, but only a black person and a single catholic man to be president.

Why? if to be divorced is a legal situation  by all means.

Even being black, woman or catholic is a trouble?, just not to think about being latino, it seems like impossible that a latino could be president in this big country with more than docens of millions of latinos living in it.

To be again at the point of sexuality or behaviour we could se that:

In U.K. a king could not married a divorced woman last century, so he has to dismiss also.

Now there is one waiting to be king, he has married a divorced woman so it would be amusing to see if he will be king or would be his son.

I could remember Clinton affair that was so important in USA years ago, but here we were astonished by the relevance of such a matter.

Lot of candidates in USA or U.K. have been dismissed from their options to be promoted as politicians just because some love affairs.

Is it good or bad?

May it be the right or wrong way to choose a candidate or a politician?.

I don´t really know but our Mediterranean or European point of view about these subjects are somehow different than from the British sexual culture.

Has the Bible something to do with the protestant sigh of life, sexuality or marriage subjects?.

I think it could be, but it is my private way of thinking.

A WEEK AGO

Ten months from this subject, but after being out of this

world for a lot of time I like to remember my thoughts of

last february.

Today the new technology gives me the chance of being

in touch with new friends from Italy, USA, Russia , Asia,

and South America.

Thanks to all of you that have time to read this blog.

A week ago I was talking about "dejà vu" that I think it is a french word valid for english and spanish or even for another languages?. Yes, I think so.

But now it is my turn to talk about new subjects that are absolutely new thecnologies in the world ways of life but they are used like all the newhuman´s discoveries along centuries.
For good or for bad, internet has turn down all our old life customs
but it has changed them to a new concept of understanding the outer world beyond our cities, countries or personal world.

Yes, that is true.

In my new life all has been changed for good I think.
Here in the web I have not any other "dejà vu" for the moment, all is new, all is too fast, and to me at least fascinating.
New methods of comunication among people from all the world. People that speaks different languages, have absolutely different customs, several religions thoughts, and what is really good too different levels of life.

All of you do not know anything about my person, my level of life, my religion thoughts and you are reading my talk now?. Yes, that is amazing, isn´t that?.

By my side I have had the opportunity of increasing my English level by free,
with ESL podcast - Jeff , Lucy and Warren teachers - from California, that have giving me the best lessons I have ever had.
Having lessons for more than five years I have the chance of writing here just the way I am doing now, but never is enough even more living in a not English spoken country.

New friends in the Blog ESL, in Facebook, Twiter, or by the gmails, or hotmails, and what is really good for me...this chance of writing my thoughts.

So thank you, computer sciencie is magic to me, nothing to be about new "dejá vu...es" and yes, happy of being alive having the oportunity of increasing my new level about this subject.
Thank you friends, Morgana, Segio, rain inderain, and my dear teacher Jeff McQuillan, your comments has been definitive to be here again writing.
Also nearly one thousand visits to this blog from Argentine, Colombia,
Peru, EE.UU., England, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Italy and of course my own country Spain, have gave me some strong feelings to continue this absurd talk with my own soul.

Never could I imagine this amazing result, or doing such incredible thing as to write in a free way for everybody who likes to read me.

CALUMNIAN y ALGO QUEDA

El humor es una definición generalista que lo abarca todo.

Desde una sonrisa a la infamia existe un largo recorrido que va siendojalonado por distintos peldaños que conducen del burdo infundio, la broma absurda, la novatada al uso, la cuchufleta a costa del debil, la caricatúraofensiva, el abuso del indefenso, y si también a la crítica ingeniosa, el dibujo sugerente, la risa sana o incluso la carcajada del desenfado.

Al igual que la palabra, el humor es dificil de usar con ingenio
y altruismo, y no digamos con el simple buen fin de divertir
sanamente.

Incluso el humor es más directo y contundente que la palabra escrita.

Una viñeta es mas expresiva que toda una página, por ello en los
periódicos se disputan los buenos humoristas que dibujan, hacen
sonreir y definen con acierto la realidad del día a día.
Pueden ser irónicos, críticos, demoledores e incluso corrosivos.
Es una dificil profesión que admiro cuando se ejerce con acierto
y aquí en España tenemos unos cuantos absolutamente geniales.

Si, me encanta el buen humor gráfico o escrito.
Si, tambien, detesto el humor burdo, facilón, ofensivo y gratuíto.

Con humor se puede hacer mucho daño pues llega muy facil, muy
pronto y encima es "divertido" nos hace reir....
Nada mas gracioso que ridiculizar al ajeno, al tullido, al feo, al gordo
al bajito, al gafotas o a un personaje que se detesta, un profe, un jefe, una monja, un profeta, o incluso a el papa, el político de turno a
quien odiamos y así a quien uno quiera hacer daño "con gracia"
y con humor, eso sí.

Parece ser que el humor lo justifica todo, y suele ser así.....

Desde la clásica y detestable novatada de iniciación, hasta las broma de mal gusto, o el abuso del debil o el raro, todo tiene cabida en el humor., y quien pone el tope a tanta gracia?
Puede ser grosero y vil, todos tenemos ejemplosde ello en los colegios, la milicia, la calle, los medios de información..
 o por el contrario ingenioso y genial que nos hace pasar un aútentico y sano buen rato.

Por mi parte detesto el uso del "humor" que se hace últimamente ciertas cadenas de televisión españolas, francesas o de cualquier otra nacionalidad sin que nadie haga absolutamente nada por evitarlo.
Parece ser que es libertad de expresión, difamar, insultar, calumniar, cambiar
la voz de cualquier personaje público y cortar y pegar palabras que ese
personaje pudo decir en otro cotexto y es muy gracioso, para algunos que para mi no piensan, son presa facil de influir o adoctrinar.

Yo no me rio nada, la verdad.

Lo mísmo opino del humor obsceno y grotesco que algunos medios hanhecho sobre las ideas religiosas, éticas o de comportamientos con los que no se está de acuerdo y se desea crear polémica, desprestigio y odio en definitiva.
Una caricatura obscena e irreverente puede ser fruto de irritación colectiva cuando se hieren sentimientos profundos, trascendetes que articulan lavida de mucha gente.

Hoy con los medios informativos apropiados se puede calumniar, difamar,o ideologeizar con las más absoluta de las impunidades.

Calumnian o difaman que al final algo siempre queda.

MISSING A PEN

It seems like a contradiction but I like the keyboard either.

The keyboard has a soft contact too for me, once I rest 

my fingers on it, every single finger to its right place I feel

something very special, sometimes it could be as a sensual

caress that make me feel happy.

Other times it could be like the power of seeing the letters

going fast on the screen thinking that in a short time later

these words would be out from home no body knows 

on which other screen will be reproduced my own thoughts. 

Close to me there is a person that says that my place in the

world is in front of a screen typing fast and searching by 

the web.

Doing that hours seems minutes and I feel happy so 

may be this person has a sharp sight to see inside me

better than me.

Sure it could be so and now it is my chance of saying, yes I like

the keyboard of my computer till the same level than 

my lost pen or even more if I am sincere. 

The keyboard gives me the option of sending this message

as far as never before I could imagine.

It is like a dream science fiction writers never thought before

and I like to read this kind of books being a your boy.

In fact every single person has the magical opportunity of 

being in touch with the rest of our globe.

I could write tipping the softness of my computer thinking

a moment later my words would be out in the cyberspace

something I could never hoped before when I was writing on

a paper being indoors.

Having in mind Laurha´s opinion I agree with her that there

is something in the way of typing that reflex my mood.

If I am right everything goes like silk, no mistakes, not missing

words and the mind is clear to write fast and in a short time.

Being just a little nerves or in bad mood I hit the keyboard 

with my fingers and the wrong writing appears for sure.

PROPOSITOS CADA AÑO NUEVO

Casi todos los españoles que conozco entre los cuales me incluyo, a primeros de año solemos hacer una serie de propósitos para mejorar nuestra vida de alguna 

forma, física, emocional, de trabajo (quien lo tenga), vivir cotidiano o intelectualmente.

Uno de los más frecuentes suele ser: "Aprender o mejorar nuestro Inglés" y también suele ser, o es, el propósito mas fallido de todos ellos junto con el de "dejar de fumar" para los adictos al tabaco.

Año tras año yo he hecho también el propósito de aprender o mejorar mi Inglés, y siempre me quedaba igual que a comienzos de año….sabiendo lo mísmo.

Hace seis años que descubrí en Internet, el mejor sistema que se ha inventado en muchos aspectos, una página que se llama: "English as a Second Language Podcast"  y yo ni idea entonces de que eran los Podcast….palabra nueva y rara en aquel momento.

Empecé a escuchar las lecciones, que no resultaron lecciones al uso, e inmediatamente descubrí un sistema nuevo, ameno, y divertido de incrementar mi Ingles.

No lo podía creer, lo pasaba muy bien escuchando en mi MP3….y GRATIS.

Curioso, me hice un adicto a las ESL podcast (http://www.eslpod.com/website/index_new.html)

y desde entonces no he parado.

Este año nuestro teacher en el blog de las ESL  nos sugirió que pensáramos en los mejores momentos del año pasado, que haberlos los hubo, y además cuales podían ser nuestros propósitos de mejora para el año que comienza.

Como ejemplo el DR. Jeff McQuillan, nuestro teacher y amigo hacía los suyos (si queréis verlos ir a su página) y yo también hice los míos en el blog, con su permiso que seguro tengo os voy a contar cuales han sido, veamos:

+ Read more…..too much more.
+ Be just enough patient with every body.
+ Give less speeches or advices.
+ Go for a walk out home more frequently, as open air is necessary.
+ Receive a hard strict medical treatment that I was reluctant for a very long time.
+ Take care of my friends, family and as it is natural of Gatufo….,,,my nice lovely cat.
+ Do not be involved, or at least as less as possible, in political or economic argues
because this year (in Spain) it would be the most easy way of having all kind of problems
or disagreements with friends or family.

+ Be optimist every moment and surprise:

LEARN ENGLISH, of course.

Para los que todavía no han empezado con el Ingles…traduzco:

Leer más, mucho más. Tener mucha más paciencia. Dar menos discursitos o consejos. Pasear más y tomar el aire, salir de casa. Recibir un tratamiento médico que he ido demorando. Cuidar mi trato con mis amigos, familia y gato, no perderlos y ocuparme mas de quien realmente me importa. No discutir o tener polémicas sobre economía, política pues será la mejor manera de no crear problemas entre los que quiero. Ser optimista, y…..

como NO?, aprender Ingles….mucho más del que ya se.
