A YEAR WITHOUT LEONARD COHEN

More tha a year since Leonard Cohen died at his home in Los Angeles, sleeping, quiet night after a fall, was buried in Montreal, his hometown, in a pine box unadorned with his parents.

He died, yes, but there has been at least in my house because it keeps ringing her wonderful voice incessant day after day, never get tired of listening to him , to follow his poetry, to understand each passing much better day, ultimately my admiration for this singer poet has been more safe and continue to grow as you begin listening to all his work, awesome, awesome, felt and unmatched in any aspect you look.

The Principe de Asturias was in Oviedo, Spain, and when he went to collect his award delighted us with heartfelt speech where he told us who taught him to play guitar.

"The Canadian poet and singer Leonard Cohen unveiled today at the ceremony of the Prince of Asturias Awards 2011 as the mentor of his career was a Spanish young man who does not know its origin who taught him to play guitar in Montreal and who born appreciation to Spain.
"Everything found favor in my music and my poetry comes from there," added Cohen after indicating that he had never told publicly that "the six chords" of a flamenco guitar that fascinated him showed them a Spanish in Montreal that he committed suicide in that city in the early sixties of the century "past."

He stressed that feels a great gratitude to the Spanish people, because thanks to the verses of the poet Federico Garcia Lorca found his "voice" and thanks to guitarist he met in Montreal learned "those six chords that have been the basis of all" songs and all your music.

Cohen has described in detail how in a Montreal park next to the tennis courts near his mother's house half a century ago saw a young man playing a flamenco guitar and begged her to give him lessons.
It agreed a price with him and went to his home to teach, until one day he did not return, called the pension he was staying and told him that he had committed suicide.

+++++++
