MADRID YEAR 1936 SPANISH´S CIVIL WAR

Emiliano is a 22-year his military service as an assistant after a colonel in the Army of the Republic.

It belongs to the headquarters of the Mountain and is waiting a few days of the month permisoen August 1936 to go visit his girlfriend Paquita in the village of Gayangos Burgales, of North Meridandes Burgos.

Begin the month of June with the usual heat always falls like fire on the streets of the capital of Spain. Nothing makes presiagiar for this soldier is coming in the next few days, just think of your permit and hopes to see the bride in her days of rest. Col. says it serves him permission to take the same month of June and depart without delay to the village of his girlfriend.

"Colonel, I would rather go in August at the same time as you, takes his leave and so I can follow your orders during the month of July.

Emiliano, obey my orders and same permission and without delay rise tomorrow, that's an order.

As you order my Colonel, at your service. "

The young soldier did not understand the reason for having to leave now, in July, when he would have preferred the month of August which are parties almost every town of Burgos Meridandes.

Too bad, he thinks, what a job that makes me the Colonel, and seemed to really appreciate.

Promptly take the train to Burgos, and from there the next day to the north part of the province where he expects Paquita who lives with his elderly mother. 

Boyfriends are formal and long may they stay in the house that has enough room for three or four people. 

Paquita sleeping in the same room with his mother, there is no possibility of any kind of relationship outside of what is considered honest in a formal couple boyfriends in those years.

 

The July 18, 1936, a few days after that Emiliano is at his girlfriend Paquita, in full grain harvest and collection, the uprising occurs against the Government of the Republic and several general and entire bodies of the Republican army rise arms against the rulers elected by the people.

Could a military coup paracer like many previous ones, but there will be so, the fascist governments of Germany and Italy support the coup and soon Spain will be divided into several fronts fighting against each other.

I do? Emiliano asks.

He is a soldier of the Republic of permit and must return to their headquarters in Madrid, but it is impossible or suicidal travel to Madrid. 

To get there several war fronts crossing impossible so I decided to consult with the vital forces of the people, the master, the chief priest and some other place.

Divided, brother against brother fighting, people without political ideas of any kind will look fighting or being shot by the simple reason of membership of the UGT or go to church on Sundays.

The night walks are no generalized tonic return, no one put order in such slaughter and resentment of the humiliated, massacred expired or will endure for decades.

In any civil war, there are winners and losers, winners are considered good, touched by the divine hand to retaliate and the vanquished, which of course are bad.

Poor semi-literate people who fought on one side or another depending on where they had their town, city or where chance, as in the case of Emiliano, Pillara them in that disastrous day of July 18, 1936.

Spain was a testing ground for the biggest nonsense that lay ahead in the second world war.

Indescriminados bombing of defenseless cities, Guernica, Madrid, Valencia, Burgos, etc.., After summary executions, indiscriminate killings in the middle of the road, rape, burning of convents, churches, or any place that was the other side that is fighting against.

Unfortunately in this contest the seeds of hatred and resintimiento still lingers in the Spanish society were sown.

And the rest of European nations not served them to learn anything from this match. 

They learned that if, as contrary to eliminate more effectively, massive bombing of cities, testing and development of new weapons that annihilated more and better.
